AEON GENESIS
Crime Crackers

Crime Crackers is a sci-fi first person shooting, dungeon-crawling action/RPG. It was one of the PS1's day-1 launch titles, and the first game from MediaVision, the studio that would go on to make the Wild ARMS games. The player takes a party of three characters through increasingly complex starships, space stations, and the like, collecting items, health expansions, and equipment. There's a shop between stages as well, and available stock is restricted both on your available currency and your gameplay rank. Progress-wise, the hacking for this is very nearly complete. I've played through the entire first act, and other than some untranslated strings and a couple item descriptions that were too long for the visible space everything just works. There are still a few tasks left -- a keypad interface that hasn't been tested yet, potentially adding subtitles to the anime ending movie (no dialog, just an image song set to a diorama of memorable in-game moments) -- but otherwise everything seems pretty solid. From a translation perspective though only just the first act is done, so it'll still be a while yet. Of course, do bear in mind that everything in the screenshots so far is of course subject to change as the project continues.
